Sine目Me: Personal Documentaries from/on Japan
2020 · Curator-programmer · The Japan Foundation
A program of personal documentaries from Japan spanning five decades and various media, presented alongside diary and love-letter films by Kidlat Tahimik documenting his sojourns to and dialogues with Japan. Screenings and discussion invite a consideration of personal histories across different but intersecting cinematic cultures converging in formal expressions of the intimate scale of the self relating to the immediacy of places. Presented 17–21 February 2020.
